TIME Person of the Year is coming up and I have a list of ten people who I believe they will pick. Remember, this is for the BIGGEST newsmaker:

1. President Barack Obama (because he has made a LOT of news on practically everything) HIGH CHANCE
2. General Stanley McCrystal (Afghanistan) LOW CHANCE
3. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates (Military Policy) MEDIUM CHANCE
4. Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner (Economic Crisis) MEDIUM CHANCE
5. Former Senator Ted Kennedy (Healthcare) HIGH CHANCE
6. Uninsured America (Healthcare) MEDIUM CHANCE
7. Captain Sully Sullenberger (because it was heartwarming) MEDIUM CHANCE
8. Former Governor Sarah Palin (because she most annoyingly kept making news) LOW CHANCE
9. President Hamid Karzai (Afghanistan, his reelection) HIGH CHANCE
10. Susan Boyle (because it was inspirational) LOW CHANCE

The Big Question is will they look for foreign policy, healthcare, the economy, or a side story. As much as Boyle and Sullenberger were nice stories, the big news this year was all the massive political craziness. All are very important, hence I think that despite being picked last year, Obama will be picked again, because he IS the combining person in the equation.
