Living with NaNo: It Sounds Like a Disease
NaNo so far this year: 33,000~ words. 17k left to go until I win.
Donated to the Office of Letters and Light? Yep! I gave my very first donation today, so now I have a donor halo on my profile. I also bought a spiffy shirt, so now I will own two NaNoWriMo shirts!
Things left to do:
- 3-5 page French Hist. paper (due Tuesday)
- 7-8 page paper re: Moll Flanders, research (due Tuesday, first draft; why the FUCK did she wait until less than two weeks ago to give us the prompt, and why are all the sources she listed books? WHY CAN'T WE TAKE THE BOOKS OUT OF THE LIBRARY?!)
- 10 page paper re: charactisation & setting in A Room with a View (technically speaking, there's a workshop day on Friday, but I might not go just because [a] I will be deaded after HP and [b] I HAVE OTHER WORK THAT NEEDS DOING, I THINK I'LL BE FINE FOR THAT CLASS TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST)
- 10 page paper re: the Wife of Bath and nonconformity (I think) (due 8 Dec)
- 10 page paper/story thing: modern retelling of Two Gentlemen of Verona (due 8 Dec)
- revised creative writing portfolio (due when the fuck ever, I really don't know at this point)
- finish Great Expectations
- read Othello, Much Ado About Nothing (or, rather, re-read Much Ado)
- read some book about a Small City in France that goes over to the DARK SIDE... I mean, becomes fascist
- write a ten-minute play of some variety
- FINISH MY NANO NOVEL, BITCHES
THIS IS THE SHORT VERSION OF MY LIFE:
I AM DOOMED.
On the bright side, I have made a new friend who likes me just as much as I like her. The more time I spend with her, the more I feel sane, the more I like myself, the more I like the world. She even mentioned me in her vlog!
Her name is Emily and she is really wonderful. I smile every time I think about her (and yes, I am going to go see Deathly Hallows with her and her friends, and her friends are all wonderfully cool too). I might be living with her and her roommate next fall!!!

also Hitler is such a hipster in that picture and I didn't even realise it's called Hipster Hitler until now -- I've been conversing with a multitude of people about hipsters lately
