Shakespeare in Love.... Actually will be performed Friday and Saturday at 7 PM. Tickets will be available at the door.
At Saturday, I shalt attempt to attendith.
Well done. It's a bit rough right now, but there are some absolutely hilarious bits in it.
why thank you dohn for responding. the kitten .gif is gone. interesting.
do you think Saturday will be a better show?

In my experience with our Shakespeare play (Comedy of Errors, not Shakespeare in Love... Actually) opening night KICKED ARSE and the second showing (a matinee) was super-disappointing because only forty people showed up. How sad D:
Good luck to everyone performing!!!

As a performer opening night is always more fun, and seemingly better. But that doesn't mean that from an audience perspective it is. Both shows should be about the same, although I would be worried about over-acting and silliness happening on saturday. But with shakespeare acting isn't really important anyway. It's more about the slapstick.
it could, but this is shakespeariment. it's more about the fun, or it was when I was in it (not thinking it having changed into hard core mode in a year), than perfection of an art. What I'm thinking is that on friday, some one is gonna drop the bomb, and it's be hilarious in some manner, and on saturday, they're all gonna cram to get it right. but I can't be sure.
And what's the plan with the ticket money? field trips in the future? or just a really big party?

I forsee a huge pizza party at the banquet. What shows are SIDP doing this summer? The KY Shakespeare Festival is doing The Tempest (which SIDP did last year and which was pretty fantastic) and Richard III, with the high schoolers doing Much Ado About Nothing (as opposed to Hamlet, which they did and supposedly butchered last year) and apparently there's the young kids group doing a 45-minute adaptation of Twelfth Night. Bitchin' set, yo.
SIDP is much ado about nothing, and an all female version of macbeth
ALLWHAT. ALL WHATTT. ALLLLLL WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTT. WHATTTTT WHATTT.
I mean, um, sounds interesting. Really, though, I've always wondered about females playing Macbeth, and now there will be! ^_^
They did Macbeth here last summer and it was pretty hardcore, black/red leather all over the place and whatnot. Very stylised.
Imma let you finish, Macbeth, but Much Ado is one of my favourite Shakespeare plays OF ALL TIME.
