Luke I totally agree with you. Guns n Roses had always played a very similar style of music. If you're looking for variety in style, Queen clearly has more.
HOWEVER, I still feel like a lot of Queens music, while different in style, really isn't all that great. Playing music beyond the normal boundaries of genre doesn't make you a good band. Your songs have to be good too.
Therefore, I thinks Guns n Roses is still a better band. Sure they never really challenged the genreical (to illude to your made up word) boundaries, but there music is powerful. Similar to AC/DC, they are proof that music doesn't have to have incredible meaning or incredible creativity to have a powerful effect on the listeners.

Yeah well I guess we can only agree to disagree. Us talking about which band is better isn't going to actually change either of our minds.

how about patience to welcome to the jungle?McSnuggles wrote:When you break down GnR's music there's no genreical(made up a word!) difference between Welcome to the Jungle and Nightrain or any of their other music. It's all the same genre and it is the same genre that many played at the same time.
